Privacy Policy (Personal Information Protection Act – BC Compliance)
Data Processing and Privacy (Zero-Knowledge Architecture)
CaresRoute operates under a strict Zero-Knowledge model to ensure full compliance with the Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA) of British Columbia. We prioritize your privacy by designing our system so that we never identify who you are.
1. No Collection of Personal Health Information (PHI): We do not request, collect, store, or process Personally Identifiable Information (PII) or Personal Health Information (PHI), such as your name, phone number, address, email, or CareCard / Personal Health Number (PHN). Users are explicitly required to agree NOT to enter any personal data before using our symptom evaluation tool.
2. Anonymous Processing: The symptoms or text you enter into our platform are processed entirely anonymously. We utilize secure third-party integrations strictly to evaluate the text against British Columbia’s healthcare guidelines and suggest the appropriate local healthcare route.
3. Zero Storage and No AI Training: Our system does not save your chat history, and no triage records are linked to you as an individual. The data transmitted to the OpenAI API is used solely for real-time evaluation, is discarded immediately after processing, and is strictly NOT used by OpenAI to train its public language models.
4. Aggregated and Anonymous Analytics: To improve our platform and measure the effectiveness of our healthcare routing, we only collect aggregated, non-identifiable statistical data, such as button clicks, general geographic trends (by postal code), and total redirection rates.
